good news
I got into AP Art.
^___^
And.
I don't have to take English this semester.
^______^
Anyway, the bad thing is that now I have to move around my schedule, and I know, at least, that I won't be in Stat AP with Court anymore. :/ Ah, well. Anyway, I'm really nervous and intimidated, actually, because some people in there are like fucking amazing. o_o I'm also taking a course out in a Pasadena art college (ouch.. commute x_x) for figure drawing because my mom heard from a neighbor that her daughter went there and really enjoyed it. Anyway, we'll see if this is true... because I need the practice and instruction to actually draw bodies realistically and correctly.
But! Since I have no English class until next semester, in which I don't have to take PE anymore anyway, I won't have to take an AM! (And I won't have to deal with AP test bullcrap... which I like already know by heart anyway. x___x)
Anyway, hopefully stuff will be changed around by day after tomorrow... I'm crossing my fingers 'till then.
The Katrina issue of Time magazine sombered me up, though. Everyone has already commented about the tragedy and incompetence of how it was managed, but I'd like to offer a different point: It's pretty amazing to see how much less disasters like the Tsunami and even New Orleans affect those who aren't in them as opposed to something like 9/11, and this is, I think, due to the fact that the death of a symbol of power is somehow much more devastating to the psyche than the deaths of actual people.
I mean, this is coming out of over-analyzation of literature, and I'm not blaming the common people for ignorance or anything... it's just interesting to see.
Anyway, on a less serious note, I know the workload's gonna be big for AP Art, but I'm trying to see it as something I'd do on my own anyway just counting for credit. XD; I hope I can keep up, especially after how nice and understanding Ms. Bouse has been. <3
And wtf @ the new iTunes and nanoPods. WHERE DID MINIS GO? ::Huggles hers.:: The new ones are too small in size and memory, and they only come in two colors... I like my old model just fine for once. XD
Umm... now for organizing thine self virtually! X3
