jack........ CAN YOU GIVE ME THE FUCKING DATE??????
Yes, Rose, we all know that tomorrow is the day that George Washington was sworn into office, (and the day that Arsenal Gear careens into the New York Stock Exchange and Solidus Snake goes ripshit atop Federal Hall), but today happens to be a very busy day as well.
1) My brother is getting oral surgery.
2) Mac OS X Tiger comes out today.
3) The newest Photoshop comes out today.
4) Hitchhikers' Guide movie comes out today.
5) It's been kinda creepy, since little snippets of things have all been referring to this date.
6) Raiden is gonna have one helluva day following Iroquois Pliskin around and Pliskin is gonna have a helluva time beating off to it. And Otacon's gonna be sitting in a corner and crying over it, (literally), so it's all good.

....Did I say something?
In any case, got to miss a whole day of school yesterday, (along with Court), when we went on a totally pointless field trip to the LA Convention Center for this... Gutenberg... Festival... thing about graphic design and stuff. We got free posters, one of which was of Spider-Man, so that made it worth it I guess. XD It was nice to take a break from endlessly pointless AP practices and such, and we figured out a lotta stuff for a Priest RP, so that was nice. (The whole time we were there, we angsted over how awesome it all must look during E3 and about why no one ever has anime conventions there).
Mr. McGee today was ranting about how usually they have a bunch of stuff about Quark and Photoshop and they offer tutorials and such, except this year, (of course), these things were absent. Oh welllss~ We saw this REALLY COOL REALLY HUGE Spider-Man poster being printed out, but they were giving out all of those posters at five, way after we left. ;_;
You know what you are if you clicked on that.
Today after school, we will go to Hitchhikers' and watch it. And we will see whether it is surprisingly good or a pile ofVogon poetry crap. MUST KEEP PERSONAL VISIONS OF CHARACTERS IN HEAD. MUST. EVERYONE MUST SUPPORT ME ON THIS, YES????
The last long trailer was pretty fucking hilarious, anyway. XD The Arthur actor actually looks pretty much the way he should, actually... but Andrew is right; we pictured him a little more thin. And wtf @ Zaphod only having one head most of the time? And I have no issues with Ford being black, but I DO have issues with him not speaking with a British accent. XD Marvin should be more... angular, and less.... fat, but the casting for his voice is PERFECT. (Alan Rickman. Snape. I mean, come on, now. XDDD)
THOSE BOOKS <333333333333333333333333333
They had two articles about the movie in the paper today, and I read both of them; one about the insane fan following and meeting of fan expectations, and another from a non-fan with a more generalized review of the movie. Apparently, fans have either loved it or hated it, (one die-hard guy saw a European preview and wrote a huge review about how "jaw-droppingly bad" it was, but then some other people, after reading the review and seeing the preview themselves, talked about how they "couldn't understand how a true Guide fan could ever not love it" so we'll see how it goes). Adams apparently wrote the screenplay as far as the second draft before the new guy took over, so... yeah. And also, apparently die-hard Hitchhikers' fan boards were scrutinizing it the whole way and actually circulated this huge petition to continue the project after Adams' death, (;_;), so if they were so involved in the movie's making, maybe it's not all that bad. The more objective review, of course, said that the pacing was weird and that everything was sort of muddled and confusing, with no driving force----------but then again, this is from a non-follower, and Hitchhikers' Guide... is kind of like that, anyway. XDDDDD
So we'll see.
We will see.
....God, I hope the movie's all right. (Not that I expect it to be. At all. In fact, I expect to be a horrible, abominable shame to whatever is good in this disastrous run of makind).
Speaking of God and digital watches....
Allow me to reiterate. Priest is amazing. As is evidenced by the fact that Justin today asked me to bring the next FOUR for him and Emi to blaze through. WOO! (Andrew wants 11 and 12 too, so those are in my bag as well. XD) It really is.... quite magnificent. Yeah.
Started work on a Coburn layout last night. <3333
To give credit where it's rightfully due, the way this all began was this:
I'd, for a few years or so, seen the freaky Priest covers and glanced at them dubiously, so one day, I picked up a volume, (happened to be eleven---thank GOD I didn't really remember anything that happened in it. XD Or rather... thank notGOD), and flipped through it. And I was like "omfg AWESOME art," and told Court and Andrew, (who were there), that, yeah, it looked cool and I was considering buying it.
So then, a few days later, Emily, (
kinneas), and I are talking on the phone, about random crap and such. And then, RANDOMLY, on a complete WHIM, I suddenly get this notion that I should ask her if she's ever heard of Priest. I really expected the idea to be crazy and for her to sort of pause and be like "Ummm, no, never heard of it." But THEN, she suddenly exclaims something along the lines of: "DUDE. That's my favorite manga... no, my favorite BOOK series EVER." And I'm like ".....Omgwtf." So then she begins ranting to me about how awesome it is and about how SAD it is and flipping through her volumes and making exclamations of coolness and pain.
So I'm like.
"All right... I'll try it."
Thank you, Emily. Thank you. <3333333333
Manycuts. Manycuts.
Anyway, gotta go off to save Big Shell from mystrangely attractive psychotically self-righteous father. Ciao!

You cannot being to understand how absolutely happy that made me.
I'm excited about the movie, actually. I'm trying to keep my own images clear (Ford is really muddled for some reason. x_x) so we'll see. I'm just going to try and have a clear head when watching it.
Of course, you'll probably be reading this AFTER we've already seen it, so blah. XD
...BIRDMAN.
