Wooo, I wish I could update this baby more often, not to mention, yannow, POST ON VF BECAUSE MY GUILTY CONSCIENCE COMMANDS IT but noooooo, the stupid people STILL haven't sent the thing to get the internet on my own computer back on again. In the meantime, I have to sneak little snippets of internet time on my brother's computer when he's a) distracted by a video game or b) no one's home and I'm supposed to be doing makeup math or chores. But whatever... The result is, of course, that I'm too lazy to talk about EVERYTHING that happened during the last few days (Thanksgiving, etc), but I guess I'll give a general idea to those of you who care. (Not to mention I never have enough time to do a substantial VF post, so I don't even attempt it.... Though maybe that's just an excuse... In any case, people are welcomed to sub for my characters, because I feel REALLY GUILTY for holding up the SL. Or something.)

So. Court borrowed MGS1 from Justin on Wednesday! (If I didn't mention that already....) She came over to my house and we (mostly her) played through the first three hours. I offered her to take my memory card when she had to go home (it was the one with the data) but she declined, saying she wanted to wait for me to play it. Sooo, then, Thanksgiving Thursday came along, and my dad makes KICKASS Turkey-day food, so it was allll good and like 8459832658568259825678926 people came over, including my oldest cousin, James, who somehow managed to beat a Pliskin VR mission for me that I couldn't do myself, and Maxine, who ended up sleeping over. Her birthday had been the day before, so I gave her her presents, which were Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci art books, plus a thing of caramel sauce (which she left here by accident...) And she was happy with them, which made me happy, because, yannow, she gave me the FIRST FIVE VOLUMES OF THE HELLSING MANGA. <3333

SPEAKING OF WHICH I never mentioned/gave thanks to people who gave me presents, did I now?

*Ahem.*

....Dammit, I had a random list of them somewhere, but now I can't find it.... I can't remember everyone, but Andrew gave me Happiness is not a Fish.... etc, the OLP CD with One Man Army, Court gave me Kirikirimai (the controversially... er... stimulating K. Haruka doujinshi), Emi gave me MANY PRINGLES and PINK CID BOXERS, Zach got me CidVin Rhapsody (another Haruka doujin, this one much less... educational LIKE SNAKE SEZ HA), Esther got me the Japanese version of the Bebop movie, Rydia sent me HER OWN CID BIRTHDAY DOUJIN OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU SEXY SPACE PONY THING and then mostly everyone else got me money and whatnot (IF I FORGOT ANYONE, TELL ME; I HEART J000) with which I bought various goodies, the most important being the ominous purchase of a dirt-cheap 16-dollar XBox version of MGS2: Substance at BLOCKBUSTER of all places... (Which is ironic, because when I got the Blockbuster gift card from my uncle, I was all like "Geez, I don't think I'll find the time to use THIS..." XDDDD)

Um. Yes. Back to present day....

So, yeah. Maxine slept over and whatnot, and I tried to show her MGS2 but she fell asleep. XD Then she had to leave in the morning because AMANDA AND DOUGLAS CAME OVER FOR THEIR ONCE-A-YEAR VISIT OMG. <33333333 (Out of town friends.) And we basically sat on our butts the whole day and played video games. XDDDDD Not just MGS2, either.... Anyway, it's amazing how we can just all get along like no time passed, and we gave them their early Xmas presents, and my mom had talked me into getting Amanda the Our Lady Peace album "Gravity," and I was afraid she might not like it, but she DID so YAY.

Anyway, yesh. Lotsa fun, and it was sad when they had to go. T_T

So... Yesterday I got up and I was all pumped to FINALLY get together with Court and play MGS1 so I went and ENTIRELY organized all the systems (can you BELIEVE IT? ME?!?) and my mom was so impressed, it was funny, and then I went and dusted and took a shower and got ready and I called Court and after waiting a bit for the phone to get to her from her mom, I heard music, and at first I thought it was from .hack for some reason, but then she was like "SHHHHH CREDITS ROLLING FOR MGS1" and I was like. "Oh." And I kinda felt bad that she had gone on without me for a second, but it's REALLY not fair of me to do that, seeing as I couldn't help myself to Hellsing when Andrew left it over here, not to MENTION I told her she could go on, and besides, I got to get the scoop on everything BEFORE I went through the agony of beating all the bosses and whatnot (I have a feeling I'm gonna suck when I finally try. T_T) Not to mention, if I had to wait for a friend to get themselves free to do something... I mean, geez, I'd go crazy. XDD Soooo, anyway, I dragged my dad away from his golfing tournament on the TV and made him lug me over to Court's (to where I also lugged the XBox and MGS2....) and we basically spent the ENTIRE time playing it and beating VR missions and whatnot. (Through or collaborative teamwork, we managed to do, like, A LOT.) And I finally beat a Snake Tale (Confidential Legacy) and SHOT DOWN MERYL LIKE A MUTHA FUGGA MOHAHAHA and then the credits rolled and OMG MGS2 THEME ROCK REMIX I WAANNNNTTT. (The only other Snake Tale boss battle I attempted was Vamp because he's so awesome and I don't feel so hopeless when I lose because of it. <3) Ahem. And we only took, like, two breaks to eat pizza. That's it. We finally "got to bed," and if you know me and Court, you know that "getting to bed" for us means staying up for three hours talking about random crap and then finally lapsing into silence and collapsing onto the pillows from mental exhaustion. The random crap this time was mostly about the first game and how Liquid Snake is so awesome and how he's so insanely driven to make some peeps get deep-sixed. (The most prominent of whom being Snake, or, as I my brain began to go dysfunctional on me, "Solid.") I mean, COME ON. If you somehow manage to possess someone through your ARM, you gotta be driven! Anyhoo, Court's mom woke us up in the morning, and I, like, IMMEDIATELY turned on the XBox and television and sat like a zombie and began to work on the VR missions before I was even fully awake. But it alllll paid off in the end, because we FINALLY finished all of Raiden and Ninja Raiden's missions and got X Raiden!!! :D And then, of course, we got to enjoy the wonder that is "Streaking Mode." And we beat it. YAY! :D So now all we need to worry about is.... Snake.... and.... Pliskin.... and then Tuxedo... Snake.... and MGS1...... X_X Jebus.

Anyway, I got all ready and snatched MGS1, which I hope to catch up with Court on. And my parents took me home and here I am, typing like a loser instead of doing my math. Which I shall now do. And this quagmire of text could have been a VF post. But it wasn't. And. Yes.

The tagline for MGS2: Substance should have been "It'll take over your life----er---I mean----NO IT WON'T."
