Woooo! Got my wisdom teeth out, (all four ahh), yesterday, and I am LUCID. Yes, discombobulated but lucid. I'm not even on any painkillers, wttfff, although I'm pretty much bedridden so I can keep icepacks on my chipmunk cheeks.
So, yeah. Got up yesterday,prayed, went to the oral surgeon--Dr. Given was his name--and they prepped me and laid me down and um I was very reassured by the fact that I could barely feel it when this Dr. Given put the IV in my arm. The IV itself is what put me under, and although I was totally expecting it, it was still weird to be like "I'm getting a little drowsy, a teeny bit drowsy---WTF IT'S OVER?!"
Then they ushered me into this little room where a fellow surgery-victim was sitting, and I was like "You in the same boat?" which sounded more like "Yoo ehh uhh seeh booh?" but he understood me so that was good.
Then my mom and a nurse helped me into the car, my mom got some split pea soup at the bagel place on the way home, (ohgawd my savior, that), and I sort of laid down on the couch. I had some of the soup with some minor difficulty, but it wasn't that which was the problem--it was the fucking painkiller that made me nauseous so that I threw up all that soup and the pill anyway. >__< That was the worst bit by far, and otherwise, I've actually been doing pretty damned well, considering. We'll see, though. ::Knocks on wood.:: We'll see... (I'm just really glad I got such a good surgeon that I feel this well. Wooo.)
I've been able to eat that soup and some finger-mushed cornbread, so we'll see if I can handle anything Thanksgiving-like. ::Crosses fingers.:: Now I'm just hoping my parents will give in to bringing the XBox in here so I can play Morrowind. >>; I'm on my mom's laptop right now, which is old, but convenient in situations such as this one. XD Still, it's getting kinda laggy, so I'd better finish this off before it erases the whole damn thing. :O
