So, uhhh. Kanye West concert at school today. Yeah. I didn't go. XD Instead, I went to my first day of WOOORRKKK.

Basically, like, um. Mark-guy showed me how to get into the server, what I should be working on, etc.... showed me the process and I was elated to find that they use PS7 and CS, the former of which I'm totally familiar with, and... yes. :D Their tablet was like the same as mine too, so I was able to do all the work pretty easily. XD The work itself consisted of--making a long story short--taking a page the penciler's done and which has already had its levels adjusted, then going it over with the color dodge and color burn tools to get the lines all nice and clean and pretty. It's pretty amazing to zoom out and see the clean product and be like "WHOA I WORKED ON THIS SHIT."

Everyone was nice, and Phil came by and made sure I wasn't being mistreated or anything. Rofl. So um. Yes. I finished the work on a page that Mark had started on to get the hang of it all, and then he started me on a page that had already had its borders done... the face towards the bottom had a ton of dirty grey around and inside it because the penciler had redrawn it a million times, but I managed to clean it up well enough. I also had to deal with some dragon wings which had to keep their faint, detailed ridges and such while still getting rid of the grey. I think I did an okay job, and Mark seemed pretty impressed with how easily I'd picked it up. (Then again, I've done tons of similar stuff on my own computer.) Quoth him: "Wow, you exceeded my expectations!" I guess that's good? XD;

It was also hilarious to hear these people in the other room plotting out the next volume and arguing about which character knew what, (no they don't, but that's the point, isn't it? well, I dunno, that's what they said), and joking about catch phrases and jokes and laughing at each other for how lame they were. Wonder what it all reminded me of? Hmm...

So yeah. The work is tedious, but the kind of tedious thing that I'd be subjecting myself to somehow or another anyway. And I get paid! Every two weeks, apparently, as Phil told me at the end of my shift. We talked and he told me that he'd thought my stuff was superior to the other stuff he'd seen in AP Art, and I was like "uhhhh some people are way better; I'm just more focused." I dunno. XD; Anyway, yes! I'll be working every weekday, it looks like, although I can call in, (on Thursdays especially), to change my schedule should my school workload prove to be too heavy. Phil says that it seems like I'm a quick learner, so he'll make sure that Mark keeps challenging me. Woo! Challenges!

The downside: I've still gotta do my Stats, Japanese video outline, and find time to do two erratic RP posts somewhere or other. T_T; But! I got my first bonus! :DDD Mark said I should do some "research" so I knew what characters I was actually inking, and dropped a big pile of comics on my desk of all their sagas going on. I think he said I can keep them. XD; I organized them all into volumes and series of series and such, and it's still all confusing as hell when I try to read one. That's American comics for ya.

It's gonna be pretty crazy to see that stuff published and know I worked on it. O_O; Wooo.....
